Sentir Conditional Practice

Sentir (to feel, to be sorry) in the conditional: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

14 exercisesStem-changing e→ieB1 – B2 level
IWhat to watch for

Sentir changes its stem twice in other tenses — siento in the present, sintió in the preterite — but the conditional uses the plain infinitive: sentiría, sentirías, sentiría, sentiríamos, sentiríais, sentirían. Neither sentiría's ie nor its i ever appears.

Two meanings share this page. Sentir algo is to feel it physically or emotionally, and sentir + que or an infinitive is to regret: sentiría mucho no poder ir means I would be very sorry not to be able to go. Add the pronoun and you get sentirse, to feel a certain way: me sentiría fatal, te sentirías mejor.
