Querer Conditional Practice

Querer (to want, to love) in the conditional: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

IWhat to watch for

Querer keeps a double r in the future and the conditional: querría, querrías, querría, querríamos, querríais, querrían. One r would give quería, which is the imperfect and means used to want — a difference of a single letter that changes the tense completely.

Querría is the polite way to ask for something in a shop, a hotel or a restaurant: querría reservar una mesa. Many speakers prefer quisiera, the imperfect subjunctive, in exactly the same situations — both are correct, and both are softer than quiero.
