Pensar Conditional Practice

Pensar (to think) in the conditional: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

14 exercisesStem-changing e→ieB1 – B2 level
IWhat to watch for

The e→ie change that gives pienso in the present has no place in the conditional: the stem is the plain infinitive, so the forms are pensaría, pensarías, pensaría, pensaríamos, pensaríais, pensarían. Piensaría is a form learners invent and it is always wrong.

Watch the prepositions, because they carry the meaning. Pensar en algo is to think about something, pensar de algo is what you think of it (¿qué pensarías de esa oferta?), pensar que introduces an opinion, and pensar + infinitive means to plan to. The conditional is where opinions are offered politely.
