Volver Commands Practice

Volver (to return, to come back) in the commands: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

14 exercisesStem-changing o→ueB1 – B2 level
IWhat to watch for

Volver is a textbook o→ue verb, and its imperative shows the change exactly where the stress falls: vuelve, no vuelvas, vuelva, vuelvan. The nosotros form breaks the pattern because the stress moves to the ending — volvamos, with a plain o, never vuelvamos.

That single form is the whole difficulty of this page. Everything else follows the usual rules: the affirmative tú command is the él form of the present, and the other three come from the subjunctive. Vuelve a leerlo means read it again, so volver a + infinitive works in commands just as it does elsewhere.
