Salir Conditional Practice

Salir (to leave, to go out) in the conditional: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

14 exercisesIrregular yoB1 – B2 level
IWhat to watch for

Salir is regular almost everywhere, but not here: the future and conditional stem inserts a d and drops the i, giving saldr-. So the forms are saldría, saldrías, saldría, saldríamos, saldríais, saldrían — never saliría, which is the mistake this page is designed to prevent.

The verb goes far beyond leaving a building. Salir caro means to work out expensive, salir bien or mal is how something turns out, salir en la foto is how you look in a picture, and las manchas salen con vinagre is how stains come out. Several of those live most naturally in the conditional.
