Ir Conditional Practice

Ir (to go) in the conditional: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

IWhat to watch for

Ir is irregular in almost every tense — voy, fui, iba, vaya — but not here. The conditional is built on the plain infinitive: iría, irías, iría, iríamos, iríais, irían. The verb is so short that the ending dominates, and every form carries the accent on the í.

Beyond travel, ir means to suit or to fit: ese cuadro iría mejor en el salón, esa camisa te iría bien. And ¿adónde irías tú? is a standard conversational opener. Remember that yo and él share iría, so only the subject in the sentence tells them apart.
