IWhat to watch for

The imperfect of dejar is regular: dejaba, dejabas, dejaba, dejábamos, dejabais, dejaban. Only dejábamos has a written accent.

It describes past habits (de pequeño siempre dejaba la verdura), what someone used to allow (mis padres no me dejaban salir entre semana) and the background of a scene: la niebla no dejaba ver nada.
