Pensar (to think) in the present subjunctive: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

IWhat to watch for

The present subjunctive of pensar brings back the e→ie stem change from the present indicative: piense, pienses, piense and piensen carry the diphthong, while pensemos and penséis keep the plain e. The endings flip to the -e set because pensar is an -ar verb.

One key trap: pensar que in an affirmative statement takes the indicative, so these sentences always put pensar in a subordinate clause after a trigger like no creo que, espero que, es raro que, dudo que or para que.
