Hacer Commands Practice

Hacer (to do, to make) in the commands: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

14 exercisesIrregularB1 – B2 level
IWhat to watch for

Haz is the shortest command in Spanish and one of the eight irregular tú forms (haz, di, ve, pon, sal, sé, ten, ven). It keeps the z of the stem and takes no ending at all — haz la cama, never hace la cama.

The moment the command is negative or formal, the g of the subjunctive appears: no hagas, haga, hagamos, hagan. That g comes straight from the yo form hago, which is the reliable way to predict all four. And because usted and ustedes already use the subjunctive, their negative commands look identical to the affirmative ones: no haga caso.
