Creer Conjugation Practice
Creer is to believe and, very often, to think in the sense of having an opinion (creo que sí). Its only quirk is spelling: the stem ends in a vowel, so the preterite has creyó and creyeron with y, and the other forms carry an accent — creíste, creímos, creído. In the negative, no creo que takes the subjunctive.
Regular except that an unstressed i between vowels becomes y: creyó, creyeron; accents in creí, creíste and creído.
