IWhat to watch for

The imperfect of buscar is regular and has no spelling change: buscaba, buscabas, buscaba, buscábamos, buscabais, buscaban.

It describes searches that were going on when something happened (cuando llegaste, todavía buscaba las llaves), childhood habits (de niños buscábamos tesoros en la playa) and what people were after at a time: en los noventa, muchos jóvenes buscaban trabajo fuera.
