Llegar Conjugation Practice
Llegar is to arrive, reach, or get somewhere (llegar a casa, llegar tarde). It conjugates like hablar, with one spelling rule: before an e the g turns into gu, so the preterite yo form is llegué and the subjunctive is llegue, lleguemos. Llegar a + infinitive means to manage to or to end up doing something.
Regular in sound; g becomes gu before e to keep the hard g: llegué, and the whole subjunctive (llegue).
