Hablar Present Perfect Practice

Hablar (to speak, to talk) in the present perfect: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

•14 exercises•Regular -ar•B1 – B2 level
IWhat to watch for

The present perfect of hablar is haber in the present plus the fixed participle hablado: he hablado, has hablado, ha hablado, hemos hablado, habéis hablado, han hablado. Only the auxiliary changes with the subject — the participle never agrees, so it is always hablado, never hablada or hablados.

Use it for experiences up to now (nunca he hablado en público), for things not done yet (todavía no hemos hablado con él) and for periods that are still open (esta semana ha hablado tres veces). In much of Latin America the preterite covers some of these cases, but with ya, todavía no, nunca and alguna vez the present perfect is the standard choice.
