Decir (to say, to tell) in the present subjunctive: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

IWhat to watch for

The present subjunctive of decir is built from the irregular yo form digo: drop the -o and add the opposite -a endings, giving diga, digas, diga, digamos, digáis, digan. The g and the i stay in every single person, so the stem never returns to the dec- of the infinitive.

The trap is drifting back to the indicative after a trigger: 'dice' or 'decimos' following quiero que or espero que is wrong — the wish demands diga and digamos. Watch the meaning too: decir covers both to say and to tell, so the same form works for reporting facts and giving news.
