Dar Present Practice

Dar (to give) in the present: 14 free exercises with an explanation after every answer, plus the full conjugation table.

IWhat to watch for

In the present tense dar is regular in every form except yo: doy, das, da, damos, dais, dan. The only surprise is that first person — doy adds a -y just like estoy and voy, so there is no 'do' in Spanish.

Watch out for da and dan inside expressions such as dar miedo, dar clases or dar un paseo, where dar is not about physically handing something over. Those idioms make up most of how the verb is actually used.
