IWhat to watch for

Entrar is a regular -ar verb: entro, entras, entra, entramos, entráis, entran. It means to go or come in, followed by en (Spain) or a (Latin America): entro en casa, entra a la tienda — never a direct object as in English «enter the room».

Entrar a trabajar is to start work (entro a las ocho), and with an indirect pronoun it describes a feeling that comes over you: me entra sueño, I'm getting sleepy. Things can also entrar in the sense of fit: ya no me entran estos pantalones.
