IWhat to watch for

The imperfect of trabajar is regular: trabajaba, trabajabas, trabajaba, trabajábamos, trabajabais, trabajaban. Only trabajábamos has a written accent.

It describes the job someone had at a time (¿dónde trabajabas cuando nos conocimos?), working conditions in the past (los obreros trabajaban doce horas al día) and work in progress when something else happened: cuando llegué, mi jefe todavía trabajaba.
